Ten10 is one of the UK's leading independent Quality Engineering, Software Testing, and Automation consultancies. We are investing in our incubated DevOps, Cloud, and Platform Engineering capability to continue growing through 2024 and beyond.

We are seeking an experienced engineer to join our small but growing capability. We focus on solving the most complex platform-centric digital transformation challenges with various capabilities, including Lift and Shift, Refactoring, Replatforming, Rebuilding, or Replacing, using a blended, bleeding-edge stack with a growing partner portfolio that includes AWS, Azure, RedHat, and Google Cloud. 

Our customers range from the most prominent names in Finance, Government and Defence through to the earliest stage start-ups building their first MVP, which we believe is the ideal next step for an experienced engineer who wants to continue working on complex challenges in an autonomous environment with the support of an incredible team. 

Essential skills & experience:

• A strong understanding of the core principles of DevOps and how our customers can most effectively adopt these.
• Experience architecting and implementing secure and scalable Cloud platforms (Using AWS, Azure or GCP) to support best practices such as containerised workloads and microservice architecture
• Four years of experience with one or more of the major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and best practices with an excellent grasp of cloud solutions, ideally including regulatory and security considerations
• Experience with the application development lifecycle and best practices involving source code management, application build, test and deployment
• Extensive hands-on experience architecting DevOps solutions, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation/orchestration processes (using Jenkins, GitLab, TeamCity, etc.)
• Good networking knowledge (VPC, DNS, LB, gateways)
• Cloud security experience (IAM, Security Groups & NACLs, certificate & critical management).
• A deep understanding of configuration management tools such as Ansible or Puppet and Infrastructure-as-Code experience using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
• Proven experience of scripting/configuration-as-code experience such as Python, Ansible, Groovy, Bash or Powershell (Feel free to share your repo)
• Strong ability to provide thought-through, clearly articulated, pragmatic solutions and recommendations to complex business problems
•  Ability to collaborate and influence across technical and non-technical stakeholders, resources, and teams.

• Delivery of effective DevOps, Cloud and Platform Engineering projects to our rapidly growing customer base
• Act as a thought leader across our scaling capability, creating content and evangelising our capabilities
• Stay ahead of the curve, keeping up with the shifting trends and certifications needed to be an exceptional engineer 
• Consistently raise the bar of expectations, ensuring we deliver extraordinary solutions to our customer's complex challenges.
